A versatile, high-value external storage solution, the USB 3.0 HDD docking station includes a 2-port USB 3.0 PCIe (PCI Express x1) adapter card, which adds two USB 3.0 connections from the host computer to deliver an all-in-one plug and play storage solution that provides access to the hard drive inserted in the dock without having to reboot the computer.

Relying on the outstanding data throughput support of USB 3.0, the docking station is capable of data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 interface connections (limited to USB 2.0/1.1 speeds unless connected through USB 3.0).
